CPL Engage is an NGO created because many of today’s complex social and environmental challenges cannot be addressed through conventional business approaches alone. They require inclusive processes, trust, and shared ownership. As the nonprofit arm of the Centre for Participatory Leadership, our mission is to bring participatory approaches to communities and organizations that are tackling these challenges.
Through CPL Engage, we can:
(1) work with vulnerable communities without commercial barriers, and
(2) build partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
These collaborations allow us to tailor participatory practices to specific social and environmental needs and scale impact in ways not possible through our commercial consultancy model.
While CPL focuses on consultancy and training, our NGO is dedicated to advancing participatory practices for the benefit of communities and their environments.
The CPL Engage goals are:
- to promote participatory leadership and participatory practices and methods in communities, organisations, and institutions
- to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for social and environmental challenges by empowering local communities and fostering cooperation among different stakeholders at the local, national, and international levels
- to strengthen the capacities of individuals and organisations to apply participatory practices and methods through educational and networking activities
- to promote the values of inclusiveness, equal opportunities, and social responsibility through active participation at all levels.
